Go Dutch!
Go Dutch! is an initiative presented by Holland's leading DJ agency 1Management, Buma Cultuur and musicXport.nl. Backed by the Dutch government, the concept was set up to present the wealth of Dutch home grown DJ and producing talent to a world wide platform.
Launched in 2008 their first project was to host and program an arena at Creamfields in the UK and with a packed tent throughout the night they proved that their artists are just as popular outside Holland as they are in their own country. As a follow up to Creamfields, Go Dutch! presented their own party at the Amsterdam Dance Event 2008 and while there was stiff competition from the world’s leading dance music labels, the Go Dutch! event was a sell out.
In a relatively short space of time Go Dutch! Have established a proven track record of producing world class events. The collaboration with Creamfields festival has since continued and in 2009 Go Dutch! produced its first event at the Miami Winter Music Conference, with performances by Funkerman, Baggi Begovic, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Housequake (Roog & Erick E feat. MC Gee) and Lucien Foort amongst others.
Unlike most other Dance concepts, Go Dutch! doesn't limit itself to one electronic music style. It's more of a perfectly orchestrated musical showcase across the whole spectrum of Dance. Putting the spotlight on Dutch artists who are on the verge of an international breakthrough. Don Diablo and Bingo Players are very good examples of such artists who’ve made it big abroad after appearances at Go Dutch!
Go Dutch! is very much a joining of hands by the key figures in the Dutch dance arena, which means that the programming includes artists from a host of booking agencies throughout the Netherlands. The aim to make the Dutch sound an integral part of festivals worldwide, with the help of several local stakeholders in Europe and Asia.
